The 'best' country and yet workers have to survive off people's gratuity. The government/businesses scamming the fukk out of you idiots.
I once left 2 sticks of gum as a tip

Service was horrendous..server was rude and lazy as shyt, and the floors and table were sticky. Granted it was busy but still.. Add to that, I was a broke college student & didnt have much to spare; certainly not on that place or waitress.

I always tip at least 8-10 bucks

I am curious to know what you expected from your server in order for that person to receive a $7 tip (15%) as well as $9 tip (20%)?
I am sure servers know out the gate that people will not always give them good tips, if any tips. It comes with the job.
However, I am curious in knowing if customers let it be known what their expectations are when they patronize an eating establishment?
I normally tip 20%. I did it @ two places over this past weekend. The service was decent. The last place, I could have been picky and tipped less, but I went ahead and tipped 20%.
As for what my expectations? If I ask for something, then I expect to get it. Other than that, I observe how a server does his/her job and if they do what I feel is satisfactory, then I will tip 15-20%.
