#WeDemBoyz Season Has Returned
Cant remember if Ive spoke on this before, but summer is coming and thats DUI season. Biggest L Ive ever taken in my life....I hope somebody reads this and makes a change.
Lets get into it.
August of last summer, several hours after heavy drinking I decide to go 1 mile down the street to go get a gatorade and a sandwich from the gas station. its 2 am, nobody on the road but me and the gas pedal. Im doing 80 in a 50, and then see those blue lights behind me.......
I know off top Im going to jail. These nyggaz were hiding in a church parking lot and not even God could save me....the dualities.I fail the breathalyzer so bad the cop shakes his head when he put the cuffs on (.17). I get taken to the station where another guy that was arrested for his third DUI was impressed that im 25, have a degree and a job, no record, and no kids. He was disappointed in me and scolded me. To this day I never forget that. He told I was supposed to be better than to end up in the system. That hit me hard. He told me he was going to jail and about to get kicked out his girl's house again. I wish I got his name, cuz I woulda put something on his books.
Long story short...I bought my way out of it. No dui on my record, got the 80 in a 50 off my record, no license suspension, no increase on insurance, only a breathalyzer in my car for 1 year, and roughly 4k spent in the process. Im lucky I live where I do. Theres several states where I would have spent a week in jail and lost my job. Be smarter than me brehs. What a waste of money.

Edit
Maybe the OP isnt clear. I just didnt want to make it too long. They didnt drop the charge. My state offers probation before judgment. Which means with a good lawyer and record, you admit fault and avoid severe penalties. Under the agreement, I got 2 years of unsupervised probation. If I get convicted on a misdemanor, they can bring me back to court and possibly revoke the probation. But it doesnt count as a true conviction right now, so I dont have to report it on job applications and it doesnt come up on a background check. No points on my license or any problems with the DMV/MVA or my insurance company
