STAMFORD -- A 62-year-old woman involved in two large heroin busts last summer was arrested again Saturday with her son after officers saw her selling her prescription pain killers while parked at a local Dunkin Donuts, police said.
Norma Campolunghi, 62, of 9 Martin St., Stamford, was charged with sale of certain illegal drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released after posting a $10,000 court apperance bond.

Capt. Richard Conklin said Narcotics and Organized Crime officers were tipped off that Campolunghi, who was free after posting $45,000 court appearance bonds following her two heroin arrests over the summer, was selling prescription drugs out of her car.

While watching her at the Dunkin Donuts on Elm Street at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday, police saw a man walk over to Campolunghi's car before getting in and then getting out a minute later.

Just before police were about to stop him, the man spotted the plain clothed officers and tried to throw four pills away. Police recovered all them and determined that they were Oxycontin pills, which are powerful narcotic painkillers, Conklin said.

The man, Christopher Denicola, 28, of 64 Foxwood Road, Stamford, was charged with possession of narcotics.

When Campolunghi drove away, police pulled her over and after searching the car found her with 128 Oxycontin pills and $1,958 in cash.

Conklin said that police determined that Campolunghi had a legitimate prescription for the drugs. While she was being processed, a man called looking for $100 worth of Oxycontin pills, Conklin said.

A meeting place was arranged and police went there and found Bruce Rosa, 44, of 9 Martin St., Stamford, with $100 in his pocket. Rosa, who turned out to be Campolunghi's son, admitted to police that he wanted to buy the drugs from his mother.

Rosa was charged with attempted possession of narcotics.

On July 24, 2013, police found Campolunghi with 81 bags of heroin, 112 methadone pills and $2,755 in cash after police became aware that she was getting ready to make a narcotics delivery to someone in the PetSmart parking lot on West Avenue, police said at the time.

Campolunghi was also arrested in August on heroin possession charges.
