Nah. I live up north. I know what I’m talking about. There are studies that support my contention. Black people who live up north are mentally and physically healthier for a reason.

The hell kind of comment is this? The South got more blacks, is way cheaper, got the warm weather, etc. I ain't letting bummy cacs scare me away from the South. I stayed in Memphis for years anyway.

The south has Republican policies that include almost no kind of safety net, thin educational funding, a stringent focus on law and order (i.e. more dead or imprisoned black people), and receding voting rights. I care not a whit how many black people live there.

On a purely objective basis, comparing the resources available to black people in both regions, there is no argument that convincingly acquits the south of being a terrible region in which to live if you’re black.

From the environmental racism of Mississippi to the ‘Stand Your Ground’ laws of Florida, the plantation-like treatment of prisoners in Louisiana to the revisionist school curriculum of Texas, black people in the south are subject to abuses that are foreign to someone like me. I can give a detailed rundown of what separates Massachusetts from southern states. The difference would blow your mind.
