It's not like you have to live there forever. Do a few years, get your experience and salary bump and get out. That's what I did and that allowed me to move to the city really wanted to live. If you pass up an opportunity to double your income like that then you are fool.

That’s why I said her pay is trash. She makes nothing close to 70K

Buffalo is trash (just ask David Goggins) but if she's single/no kids, she can stack and enjoy a lower cost of living there.

Poverty/drugs/crime is an issue there depending on where you are of course. But she's like 1.5ish hours from Toronto by car. And winter will suck there.

Whatever the case, her responsibility is to her wallet and stomach, so take the $ and just know that the shyt she used to will be different but she will set herself up real nice.
