So I been at my Biotech gig for 5 years. No write ups, written warnings, anything. About 3 weeks ago, while my supervisor is on vacation, I am told to not take or make any calls due to "compliance" issues. I been off for about 3 weeks now, still getting paid, btw. My supervisor told me yesterday basically, the compliance issue was manufactured and there are no issues. One issue was the fact after being of the phone for two days, I alerted my field team I could not make any calls, although there was no intention for anyone else to let them know lol. She has gotten human resources involved & our employee relations department. She said she was told she was doing a bad job as a manager because she was fighting for me too hard. Long story short, she said, I wont be getting written up or anything, and back to work as normal. I asked was it personal ? Did I rub someone the wrong way ? She had no idea why they tried it ? My question for yall is how should I play this ? As far as a job, it's perfect. 5 weeks vacation, ESPP, 100% tuition reimbursement, 401k match, annual bonus. But they cant be screwing with me like that.

You're basically in a position where they can drop you like a sack of siht and all of those perks you listed will be worth peanuts. If I were you I'd look into finding another job with colleagues that actually like you. Last thing you want is to put in more time here only for this to happen again (and it might) without warning and a not so forgiving outcome the second time.

Get your resume up to date, start talking with recruiters. Just shop around discretely. You never know, if you come across something real good you can just be real with the potential new employer and tell them that there are political games interfering with your work.
