my laptop has no sound

I have a windows 7 laptop.

The sound stopped working about a week ago.

The volume is up high and not muted. The driver is also up to date.

My media files have also stopped working (video).

Any suggestions for a been?

do you have anything that you've installed lately? mabe a anti virus software?


Try restoring your computer from the last date that it was working properly

Dedicated audio/video card or is it integrated?
Maybe reinstall the drivers and codecs?

• Have you tried restoring your computer to previous state or completely
• Have you scanned your computer for anything suspicious, if you find something restart your comp
• Have you went to device manager and disabled,enabled, and restarted your computer

I've scanned used malware-bytes. Nothing

I've tried system restore. Nothing

I've installed the new audio driver from the toshiba website.

I got system mechanic to help with the crashing. Found and fixed a TON of issues.
