My manager wants me to stay now, how do I decline?

Synopsis in October I found out as of December my current position would be no more I was redeployed to another position in another department. I start that new position January 28th.

Today I work my manager calls me into a netting and tells me that someone in te department is leaving and I'm her first choice to stay on :childplease:

Of course I'm not staying I'm happy to start something new and that department is much more safer, I have to let her know by tomorrow.

How would you word it brehs?

Tell her there's no incentive for you to stay, which basically leaves the door open for her to make an offer. She'll probably just call her 2nd choice, but at least there's a chance.

The nice way to say it is that you wanna take the new job to learn something new and grow to advance within the company. You feel like you're ready for a new challenge.

Just say the same bullshyt you see in emails you get when someone gets a new position or is moving to a new job.

If she keeps saying you gotta take one for the team, tell her you will take one for the team as long as you get to start on Jan 28th as before. Tell her you have no problem filling in until you move on. So you basically giving her time to find someone else

But please believe if she had an opportunity to move on that was beneficial to her, she wouldn't hesitate. So I wouldn't worry about declining to stay in that dept.

sure, but he's at the other end of the stick breh breh. She can make up some lie to mess with him. He should dictate how things go when going back to her. That will stop her from even thinking she can play with the negga.
