shyt is horrible. The article doesn't even mention that if you got a lump sum bonus, the military reported it on your w2 as income so you lost a ton of it in taxes and since it was so long ago, you can't even amend your tax return. If you got a bonus of $10000, you probably paid $2000 in tax and took home $8000, but you still, have to pay back $10000 What a way to thank them for their service.

If I'm not mistaken taxes aren't taken out of bonuses paid while oconus. But this is a shytty story nonetheless.
