Race is a perception that a racial group is superior to the next. As opposed being oppressed by a darker shade or lighter shade of your race isn't as bad.
Think Asian vs Asian and Caucasian vs Asian.
Or Caucasian vs African and African vs African.

Yeah… I don’t see the difference. I always hear “I don’t like light skin” “so and so is too light for me” but we aren’t allowed to say the other way around. Like South Sudanese is a little too chocolate for me… you’ll be labeled a colorist.
