My Modem only allows for one, occasionally two, units to be connected to it... How can I fix it?

put your modem in bridge mode and connect a router to it
that's the answer right there. had this time warner cable trash ass modem/router combo.

had to fight with dude just for them to put it in bridge mode, but once you get that straight, you'll be good money.

i was resetting my shyt literally every day when i got home from work. havent had a problem since i got a stand alone router.

the combo
Well I had a combo unit myself but I went and bought my own modem and router so I could have more control over my network. Go to your cable company website and get a list of their approved modems. Go to ebay, amazon etc and buy a new modem and get a good dual band router maybe even a "ac" router if you want to be future proof. Plus you save money by not paying a rental fee.

This should help:

http://slickdeals.net/permadeal/110...modem-total-defense-premium-internet-security
This is a Motorola SURFboard SB6121 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem + Total Defense Premium Internet Security for $96 -$60 rebate = $36. Shipping is free.

If you need a recommendation on a good router let me know.

I don't know if my modem being an ADSL, and being in Italy matters. Thanks for your help, I'll choose in the next two days.
