i don't know about this.. it would be a discussion.
to my knowledge the muslim religion has been in africa longer than christianity.. the arabs spread their religion and traded with the africans. when the euros crashed the buildings in the late 1800s to spread christianity, they've been more brutal at going after their resources. and the euro economic and political system has been more harsh to the africans to this day. the christian religion just soothes the pain caused by the economic and political system.

I'm not here to argue which religion is better. I honestly think they all have issues. I just see a pattern that brothers are so quickly to kill in the name of religion in the islamic faith. It just baffles me that people can't see its deleterious effects on the African continent as a whole. The entire concept of eschewing education baffles me, and i feel is harmful for the development of the African continent
Christianity was in parts of Ethiopia and Egypt before the time of prophet Muhammad PBUH. The christian king of abyssinia (ethiopia) Negus gave refuge to the Muslims who were being persecuted in Mecca. It is said that he later accepted Islam.
Muslims championed education in a variety of fields. Its tribal societies who have little resources that put education aside in favor of Islamic studies. This is not a problem with Islam since other parts of the Muslim world have excellent universities and high standards of education. This is a cultural socio - economic issue that needs to be addressed.

As a Christian I would like to extend a small warning for those looking at making the Hajj. There is a video (official) following three different people from countries across the globe while making their own Hajj. They were not treated as equals even though they were muslim.
