So no one's actually talking about the film? shyt was brilliant, it basically is a movie about ridiculous excess brought to you in the form of pure movie excess, because this story has no business of being three hours long and yet it's captivating every single moment. Every scene is classic and Leo nailed it. The scene where he becomes paralyzed due to an overdose of Quaalude is some of the greatest shyt to have been put on screen in the last decade or so. The whole theater was cracking up throughout the entire ordeal and that's no small feat.

I also don't get the criticisms of the lives of these people's lives being glamorized. They're pretty much depicted as out of control drug addicts who get away with it because they're filthy rich, I certainly didn't feel like I'd want to be one of those guys at any point in the movie. Speaking of the criticisms, my biggest complaint was that the climactic 'breakdown' scenes at the end felt a bit forced, like they were there purely for the PC-crowd to (unnecessarily) emphasize that Belfort wasn't a man to look up to.
