If your siblings are out of touch with their roots that's your parents' fault, not theirs.

I don't know. We all still speak our native tongues(Twi and Hausa). But none of us really followed African traditions like that. My parents were too busy chasing money rather than instilling tradition and pride growing up.

@TZiggy have you ever thought about chin checking your siblings? A few relatives with common sense and I used to slap sense into other relatives who were dating non-Blacks.

We lived in a 90% white community and had all white friends growing up. That should make it obvious. Every time a new black family moved into the neighborhood, my siblings used to ignore them with the :mjpls:. My parents greeted them with glee.

The kids used to think I was like my siblings until I started to stand myself out around HS.

Move your kids to an all white suburb and be disappointed when they marry white brehs

This is the new generation breh. Race is not a prevalent among our ages as it was with you guys growing up. Not to mention IG pics of all races posting fat asses and thick bodies nowadays means black women are no longer as unique as before.

Yea, that basically speaks to my point. Kids aren't born with cultural pride and context. All of that has to be taught and reinforced. It's also key for the value of those things to be demonstrated by example, rather than by force. I speak Twi too, but my wife is white. My upbringing was very similar to yours, with the added bonus of my pops being an alcoholic adulterer who put himself above everybody else (and still does to this day). Not to say your parents are like this, but my point is the way kids are exposed to their native culture when they are completely immersed in another one has huge effects on whether or not they take to it.

Mark my words. Watch as African women bedwrench as hard as Asian women as the years come.

The African community is following the exact pathway as Asian communities which is a good thing and a bad thing. Africans parents only teach their kids about the importance of money and status. Well, when you live in a white country guess who has the most money and status? White guys.

Today, African people are the most educated in America yet are paid less than their other racial counterparts. So you will have these degree educated African women blasting their men for not earning enough or being at their level not realising the game is set up against black men.

Oh what is to come

None of this makes sense. I have an uncle who is a cardiologist for example. Do u really think his wife is leaving his $500K to go get the white cardiologist making $600K, when they grew up in abject poverty :what:
