My rent is going up only $20 for next year. Projections for 2026 must be abysmal.

I'm grateful (they did raise the Amenity fee another $25 though, we talking about that one :mjpls:)

But normally it's $60-$90 every year. I assume whatever software to project for next year must not be looking too good. I've seen this before.

I'm still paying over $2000 in rent though :snoop:

I'm moving at the top of the year, and I'm already looking rent is starting to get mighty competitive.
I work for a real estate company, I might have to start asking about projections. Because it must not be looking hot. I know my company already charges too damn much.

Hope corporate landlords and greedy mom ans pop landlords get cannibalize and go broke. They made record profits these last 5 years.

Rent control? Ok.
Who controls water & utilities?
Trash and fire mitigation?
Insurance?
And in CA: mandatory HVAC, earthquake retrofit, climate fees, insurance, parking, extra security?
