My son's (JRB) first project dropped on Logic's Label Bobby Boy

Many of you know my son got signed by Logic a few months ago. Well, here is his first project. Would love to get your input, many are respected here and know how my son did his thing in the coli beat tournaments.

Listening now...I see he has expanded on his sound. Has more of a emo/lo-fi/soulful sound on this tape. It's fire. So far my favorites are Swivel, RTK and better days. I ain't gonna lie though, I miss his bass heavy, trap Oakland sound I hope he isn't abandoning that

Never bro - this particular project I think he wanted more of a chill vibe and organized it around that kind of sound.

Man younging got some bangers on here. It works great as a whole cohesive project. Lots of chill ass dope melodies. Bass was on point where you get some thump but its not overpowering. I'd definitely rap to this shyt. I listened to the project 2x. The tracks are short so you just keep going back to them. I like the project had a certain mood about it. Some beats were a lil light, while others were a lil more serious sounding. I appreciated how he approached this even though its not like the traditional beats we know him for, I'd like the added dimension.

It doesn't really have any blow you away stand out joints because I feel like the sum outweighs the parts, You don't listen to this album for one particular beat, you just let the whole thing rock and enjoy the ride. The joints that I liked/enjoyed the most were.....

there's not one wack beat on here, I liked them all, just those 4 were my favorites.

Damn Lil breh is nice. I know how difficult it can be to transition to a sound different from what's natural to you. He did a damn good job.

1949 and Mixed Feelings were two standouts to me, not my favorite type of production just because the energy lulled a little too much for my taste but it was consistently polished throughout. 1949 need just a little bit more variation imo but it has a lot of potential, Mixed Feelings was my favorite record o/a.

Very talented kid though, there's a wide range between this project and what I heard from him before.

Fantastic beats!

I like the flanger and reverb on the drums. Not everyone can make something like that work. Really mellow nightly vibes through out. and the hi-hat programming is really nice to.

"Swivel", "Heart of Greed," "Mixed Fillings" and "Better Days" are my top 4 on this project. the sonic quality definitely has went up another 3 notches. The sound is incredible. This is well put together. Excellent work!
