4-Star QB Logan Byrd, ranked Nationally as the 18th QB from the ESPN Jr 300 2016 list, and 9th Dual -threat QB Nationally on the Rivals 250, verbally committed late today to the Virginia Tech Hokies. OC Coach, Scot Loeffler and Head Coach Frank Beamer began building a relationship and offered Logan, a 6'3" 230lb QB, in early Spring of this year. Both were excited to get the commitment today from this high priority target from the 2016 class. "I'm excited about playing football at VT and becoming a Hokie. I've enjoyed getting to know the coaches, the other QB's and players, and it's an offensive style that fits me. VT has a great history of winning and I know I can add to that success." Logan stated. "I was blessed to have several colleges recruiting me, and a small handful of those were at the top for me. However, all roads just kept coming back to VT and the Hokie Nation." Byrd will be reaching out to other top recruits in the 2016 class to help build the recruiting class at VT. Byrd will graduate early in December 2015, and be able to enroll at VT starting January 2016. Byrd is the starting Varsity QB at AAAA Veterans High School in Kathleen GA.

And :blessed: to whoever convinced Brewer to transfer to Tech so they could properly showcase that offense... :to:

Step 1 was getting rid of Steinspring :scusthov:
Step 2 was bringing in an offensive coach with a modern system :blessed:
Step 3 was bringing in recruits good enough to at least showcase it but all that was missing was a QB which came the final step.
Step 4 showcasing the offense so other recruits would want to come to Tech.

That Ohio State game tipped the scales.
