This is crazy. On the death anniversary of Notorious B.I.G. on March 9th, his close friend N.O.R.E spoke to Radio.com and narrated an untold story about him.

In the Notorious biopic, there’s a scene where Biggie makes several calls to his loved ones. Noreaga reveals that one of those calls was made to him, although that didn’t appear in the movie. But that’s not it. He says that during the call, Biggie played Capone-N-Noreaga’s song ‘T.O.N.Y. (Top of New York)’ which was not released at that time, which left him surprised. Biggie later told him that he was sitting next to the song’s producer Nasheem Myrick and that’s how he gained access to the recording.

“The only part that made me cry was when he was making those phone calls. I was one of those phone calls. I wasn’t honored that Big called me playing ‘T.O.N.Y.,’ I was like ‘How the f*** you get that?’ I’m thinking it’s bootlegged. Big Took like five minutes before he answered.”

B.I.G. then dropped a bomb.

“He was like, ‘I’m getting on the remix, ‘As soon as I get back to New York, I’m bodying that. Don’t tell no one I don’t want nobody to know.’ I’m thinking I’m gonna have the biggest record out.”

It’s unfortunate that he never made it to New York to finish the remix as he was shot by an unknown man on March 9, 1997 at around 12:45 am in Los Angeles. Rest in peace.

Capone had a similar story about seeing biggie at the tunnel when La La came out and him giving him props for it ...

CNN was already bubbling, TONY came out the end of march of 97

Yea, he woulda been spectacular on Blood Money also. That's why Biggie is still in my Top 3 greatest ever, because he was so fukking versatile. He could murder damn near any beat.

 i liked tony but blood money to me represented the gritiness of that album more than any track....biggie would have gave us a classic either way:obama:

Nore isn't one of those type of guys who would lie on someone else just to get a little shine. If he says that's what happened, then that's what happened.

Don't sweat it brehs.

For some reason it's really hard for nikkas to believe that there were any rappers poppin back then except for Tupac and anybody that Tupac dissed.
