Tanahashi was Japan john cena and his boat as a main ace/draw has dwindled with naito/okada/omega all being potential faces of Japan. Plus aj style came in, ate their lunch, bounced and already has an all time great wwe career. Nakamura is thousands time more charismatic and arguably a better wrestler then tanahashi but just a few years ago it was mainly just tanahashi as the guy aka the ace of new Japan
