Yeah you lying breh. London girls were better looking than most American girls even the young white girls if you’re into that. Most of the Sistahs and mixed women were bad asf too, even the hood jawns. British food wasn’t even that bad contrary to old ass stereotypes and even then, British food isn’t the only type of cuisine on offer in a metropolis as diverse as London as some of the best Indian, West African, Thai, Jamaican, Vietnamese, French, Colombian, and Italian food I’ve ever had was over there.

The coffee in the UK in general was WOAT tho :scusthov: Thank The Creator for Starbucks.

If traditional British Culture was what you were expecting to find in London, of course you’ll be disappointed...This isn’t the mid-20th century where Cockneys were running the show and London was one crackkka ass city :heh: And even then, you still got British Culture being reflected in the traditional (black cabs, social mannerisms, tea, English breakfast, operas & plays, Victorian-era architecture, old school Cockney, etc.) and the contemporary (Black music, multicultural foods with a British twist, Norman Foster-type architecture, MLE English or ‘Jafaican’ dialect, reserved business culture, etc.). And personally, I found Londoners to be more legitimately quirky and eccentric than New Yorkers for the most part.

Nightlife...I personally prefer London’s nightlife to the nightlife scene of ANY city here in the States, not just NYC. Not as much overly dramatic fukk shyt happens and people do be getting it in on the dance floor like it’s the early 2000’s or something without tryna stunt, be too cool for school, mean mug, or being glued to the phone all night.

The malls and high streets were :noah: Special S/O to the beautiful Westfield Stratford City. And I really loved the chaos of Oxford Street.

NY has a nice park system and a few iconic ones too but parks truly felt like a way of life in London. Very deeply embedded in LDN/British Culture and the fact that LDN was such a leafy city definitely made it feel like the most “natural urban forest” I’ve personally walked around in outside of DC.

And honestly, both London and NYC status as the world’s financial cap ebb and flow year after year after year, so that’s kinda moot at this point :manny:

Even in fashion, I’m sorry but London is definitely seeing NYC. Whether it be haute couture, business casual, casual wear, or street gear; I saw some shyt London nikkas were wearing that will most likely be the new wave for nikkas here in the States (even NY) within the next 5 to 7 years.

Public transit, London is more than a matching equal for NYC when it comes to timeliness, delays, cleanliness (not saying it’s 100% spotless), less bullshyt from passengers, station buskers, art installation displays, speed (the Tube is actually faster than the Subway), more aesthectically attractive, having a combo of regular buses, double decker buses, AND accordion buses, etc. And before the inevitable 24/7 access talk, yeah NY Subway is still tops in that department but the London Tube has started doing for a few lines a couple of years ago. Also, you got other transit options in LDN too such as the Overground (an El system), Docklands Light Railway (somewhat of a light rail for a certain section of the city), National Rail (regional and inter-country commuter rail), and Thames Transit (water taxis and ferries basically). One thing that does suck about the London Underground is that it’s similar to MetroRail here in the DMV where you pay by both zones and time (rush hour be pricy and weekends are usually a lil cheaper) and tap the fare gate to leave the station.

I’m not from London nor the UK period, I just like to keep an open mind and explore as much as I can when traveling. Just like to give credit where it’s due. London and New York have many similarities with each other but trust me, they have a good number of differences too. They’re both GOAT cities but LDN is its own animal as well.

@UG. @rahtid @WickedGames

london and new york are cousins tbh

Pretty much any and ever person I've talked to has said The UK/London has the ugliest girls in Europe.

Quite honestly, I went from Alabama to San Diego and I really can't say that you're wrong. Although, the traffic and cost of living knocks this shyt out of the top 3:pachaha:.

It's fine if you don't live in the more well-known cities, but they're what makes Cali feel like Cali.

They actually looked better than the white American girls who were in my study abroad group. Tbh, London was the first time I’ve ever seen consistently thick white girls, so that was a bit of a shock to me while I was there. Even my program coordinator was thick asf. Granted, she prolly don’t count since she was a white South African redhead (she’s originally from Durban) but I'd say she definitely fits The Coli’s definition of a “pawg”.

The Sistahs in London were really good looking but they’re Black, so that’s to be expected lol. :smugdraper:
