As a dusty marsupial hip hop head, I often try to put my ears to the streets to find something to switch up my dry ass playlist. Sometimes the algorithm gods or a Coli breh's opinion. What's the track that made you go :ohhh: , to a rapper that you wouldn't listen to on the regular.

For instance:

This track alone had me second guessing G Herb as a typical drill rapper. The whole song sounds like some helicopters hovering over the scene of MASH. The whole album in general just hits as somebody who been through the trenches more ways than one :francis:

Herbo was never a typical drill rapper. He was even nicer when he was Lil Herb.

I guess it's the weird trope of because he rapped with Durk and em, automatically Drill. But the whole album felt like some modern day Scarface type of tunes from paranoia to just surviving in these streets.

I dug the whole Vietnam guitar type of setting to the album.

Big Krit Mt. Olympus for me. I wasn't into him before I heard that track, and even than the album wasn't it for me in the first listen. But I kept going back to this song and eventually the whole album grew in me.

Really only even checked this Yacht Rock joint to hear the Bronson joint…stumbled onto this Roc shhit and ran it back madddddd times….went down like a 5 week rabbit hole of just Roc shhit…became a huge fan, pause.

The Willie the Kid joint on here, ironically also made me a huge fan of his…I heard that months later tho.

I swear, I think this dude be trollin' because when I heard this, I was like this can't be the same dude yelling bullshyt ass distorted lyrics over distorted beats

:wow:

Based God really conned heads into believing he was "Viper at home" but reality hits that dude is low key GOAT with the craft. Lyrics, wit, beat making, and diverse content.

Sadly, heads will see him as the "look like jesus" meme :francis:
