Dr. Dre- Compton

I thought all these songs were dope:

Genocide
It's All On Me
All In A Day's Work
Deep Water
Darkside
Animals
For The Love of Money
Satisfiction
Medicine
Talking To My Diary
The beats were not good other than the Ice Cube track and Talking To My Diary, and every track besides Talking To My Diary Dre sounded like he was rapping Kendrick Lamar’s lyrics in his same cadence and delivery. That album deserved all the hate it got.

The only hate I ubderstand for this album was Dre's voice and his rapping sounding like whoever wrote it where before Dre was effortless with it to the point you had to read the credits to know. The production on Compton was actually dope as were most of the guests.

Testing by ASAP Rocky
That was horrible then and horrible now. Rocky came out the gate and won the Super Bowl, and two AFC championships with his first tape and 2 albums. Then dude which 3-13 on Testing and went home to be a family man.
Vol. 2

I'm legit :dwillhuh: when I hear ppl talk bad about it

Reservoir Dogs
Coming Of Age 2
Ride or Die
MCH
Money Ain't......
Like That
HKL

Come on, man
I always considered that album a “commercial classic”. There were a lot of good-great songs and in real time it was a massive album.
Ghostface - Pretty Toney album
I think that Missy song being the first track people heard from there completely turned people away until Fishscale came out.

Meth was killing shyt left and right...Banga after banga...his style was gorgeous on dat shyt...them dumb skits after every joint got in the way...remove those and u have a 4.5 album..
Came in to say this. It got the unfair Immobilarity reaction because it wasn't all RZA and had an expanded sound. Meth's best album overall.
Beats, Rhymes & Life by Tribe. I was just a kid so I wasn’t aware of the critical response but I always liked that album growing up. It was only until I started using the internet that I learned that people didn’t like it like that.
Consequenceand Q-Tip and Phife (Rest IN Power) growing apart fukked the chemistry up a bit, but still very solid album. Consequence being cut off a few joints would have helped IMHO.

Still til this day I don't know why people act like Volume 3 is a misstep in Jay's discography. I love that album. Solid 4 Mics Imo
I loved Vol 3 when it dropped too but I haven’t revisited it much

It’s an album of it’s time

But RD, Blueprint, and American Gangster are what you call timeless music and that’s what Vol 3 is compared to.
