For the sake of argument, you gotta pick one...:beli:

I'm gonna go with Strong Safety on defense.....

Offense is a little tougher, but I'm gonna say Fullback

On Defense its the second DT spot.
For the longest the line just had to be 4 men.
Then the 3-4 came and proved that you can stop the run with just 3 linemen.
On O its the fullback.
I dont the pats use a FB and they made it tp the SB while putting up stats.

Strong Safety for defense, and Guard for offense. You can damn near find any fat mofo and stick him at guard. I'm exaggerating, but guards ain't really rare to find.

in the "current" nfl, fullbacks are the most disposable because some teams don't even use their fullback and even convert TE's to fullback.

on offense, I'm gonna say either fullback or right guard (if the QB is right handed)

on defense, in a 4-3, probably one of the DT spots; in a 3-4, ROLB

not to say any of these positions aren't important; but you can get by with a below average player at those positions easier than you could at the others
