I have been hearing and reading lots of whining about so called Super-Teams, Big 3's, Big 4's, etc. that are ruining the NBA...
Last time I checked, there were 30 teams in the NBA.... Of those 30 teams, there is only one real super team:
Heat: LeBron, Wade, Bosh. This is a super team ONLY because they have 2 of the top 3 players in the NBA either of which can completely beat you by themselves. Yes, Wade is still top 3, don't be fooled by the stats. He is still very capable of being a legit franchise player but is simply deferring in order to win.
After the Heat you have top tier teams:
Thunder: Durant, Westbrook, Harden. If these guys stay together they will eventually become a super-team. However, they were all drafted so I don't see how this would ruin the NBA. Right now, they are just a top tier team and not guaranteed to make the finals next year.
Lakers: Kobe, Pau, Bynum, Nash. Great on paper but aint done nothing yet. Kobe right now is not top 5 imo. He scores a lot but has to shoot a retarded amount of times at a inefficient percentage to get those points. I also don't see him deferring to Nash whatsoever.
Spurs: Duncan, Manu, Parker. This should be self explanatory.
After the previously mentioned top tier and Super-Teams we get to teams that should compete at a high level and possibly be top tier:
Knicks
Nets (regardless if they get Dwight)
Pacers
Boston
Clippers
Celtics
So all in all, there is ONE, just ONE, Super-Team. There are are 3 top tier teams, imo. And a few teams that could possibly be top tier. This is how the league has always been. What exactly is the problem?!?!?!
If D. Rose was healthy I would list the Bulls in the third group.
