The Listening (Little Brother are from the south)
Coming out Hard

Banned in the USA
ATLiens

Great thread, but this shyt was hard as fuk to get it down to just 5 albums. There are a couple that may replace 2 on the list, but the ones in bold are my top 3. I have history with BITUSA and ATLiens. Those are great albums. I remember Fresh Kid Ice told me in 1999 that he didn't like the album.

I really wanted to put Coming Out Hard but I listened to these other five just a lil bit more than it.

It was a slave state so folks include it but after spending time in B-more, it is not the South.
Maryland is in this weird place with Delaware, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Slave states that did not join the Confederacy. I've never been to Maryland, but from what folks have told me Maryland culturally isn't southern.

Being from Michigan, I always thought Kentucky was in the South, but now living in Georgia, most folks I've talked to in the south do not consider Kentucky south even though Kentucky is very culturally southern. They all look at Kentucky like KY is studio southern. "They want to be the south, but they ain't really the south"
