Damn, I been sayin' she's the best athlete in that division and should hold the belt. It looked like they were going to push her a little bit with that win she got over AJ a few weeks ago.

This couldn't have happened at a worse time

Lets see if all that praise translates to them putting the Diva's belt on Naomi, a woman who's beautiful(best looking diva they have IMO) but has strong negro features that don't usually appeal to the demographic that the WWE tends to attract.....

I think the issue is more with her mic game. It doesn't seem strong. Cameron seems like a stronger mic spitter. I think that might be holding Natalya back too.

Exactly. I love Naomi's exciting and athleticism and the energy she brings, but she needs more development in her character and mic work to become more of a total package. Nattie has that exact same problem, except it's times twenty. Either some of these divas are good-to-great in the ring with no good mic skills or much of a character, or they had loads of character but are complete shyt in the ring.

The fact that there's only one divas match per program doesn't help things either.

AJ is a balance between good on mic and good in ring and good looking, so I think that's why they put the belt on her and gave her so much screen time.

Also, where you guys seeing Naomi's mic work? Don't remember the last time I saw her with a mic in her hand.

Boom. Nail on the head. That's one reason why AJ is in the spot she's in now. She's just about the complete total package in terms of in ring skill (good), a fascinating character that gets a reaction from the crowd (check), and can talk on the mic (absolutely). It also doesn't hurt that not only is she the top-selling diva, she's also on the list of the top-selling merchandise in the company period.

Nattie is so much like her father. Give her a good manager and give her a nice, steady push. WWE has far too many weekly programming hours for Nattie skills not to be showcased. Same thing for Naomi. Let Cameron slowly transition into manager. Kill to birds with one productive stone.

It's easy being the top Diva merch seller when your only competition is no longer on the roster, and they had an okay shirt. Plus, folks craving individual merch from a Diva greatly helped AJ's sales.

When it comes to mic skills, AJ is okay. There are others that has done better on the mic. And AJ need to revamp her character ASAP. There is only so much skipping and screaming folks can take....

The 1st clip that I found. Most just shows her in ring work.

Notice that most performers had more freedom in NXT. Naomi's mic skills will suffer under the main roster creative stupidity. If creative has half a brain, Naomi should be cutting more promos on Main Event.
