Retire.
Her depressed ass is probably why Cordae split up out of there, imagine being around that all the timeCordae ain’t shyt
That's why it needs to be a woman of color and/a mother as it can be a learning lesson to other women about the struggles of mental health and coming back into the work force after having a child and needing to walk away to get yourself together. Use that as a guise to call it out because we're literally at the point of her having a complete mental health breakdown on camera in front of the world to see.
If I was an opponent, I'd want no part of playing against her because of she could potentially react to the loss.
At some point, the media is going to have to stop treating the situation with kid gloves and calling it out for what it is as it's creating an awkward and uncomfortable situation for everyone involved.
I'm referring to them being open about her needing to retire and the uncomfortable and awkward that she's putting everyone in by not doing so.What are you talking about? She needs help, not sharp tongues from the media.

There's no sharp tongues about it.
I don't know about you, but I don't want to see someone having a mental health breakdown publicly and that's where things are headed as she's treating it as mental health session when the media, the fans nor her opponents are equipped to handle it.
Someone needs to since it's obviously that her circle isn't going to.
Or she could just retire instead of putting everyone including the media and her opponents in an awkward and uncomfortable situation.I don't feel uncomfortable. If anyone does they are free to tune her out or turn off the TV.
She needs help. That help may need her to retire. It may get her to the point that she is healthy enough to finish out her tennis career. I don't think any of us or the media are knowledgeable enough to make that call.
Her inner circle (if she has any) are not helping. They need to get her help. And whatever demons she is facing don't go away if she stops doing press conferences or if she just retires.
I don't even know if she "wants" the perks. She genuinely seems like a good woman and human being who is just not built to withstand mental grind and outside noise as a pro athlete with a lot of eyes on her. We've had multiple threads about this over the years. It's clear she wants all the perks of being a pro tennis player (money, fame, access) without wanting to deal with the rest of it. That's just not how professional sports works though. They say she's made 50+ million a year over the last couple years, she should have enough to just walk away if it's all too much for her

Most athletes of her stature develop supreme confidence and belief in themselves even if they forego discipline, work ethics and so forth.
I know a lot of people who get depressed easily lack the kind of anger to get out of it, and it spirals them down.
Most athletes have that kind of "anger" to kind of snap out of it, even if it's as simple as "I'm better than this bytch".
