Bleek reigniting the Stan Wars of 2001-2002, made me stop and remember Nas dropped Stillmatic, Lost Tapes and God's Son in a 12 month span.

Lost Tapes is damn near his best work period

Lost tapes is a classic but stillmatic to me, given the time, events of the era, shyt talk, and hype, will forever be my fav of that era. Gods son was like the post mortem of that shyt + his mom dying

Damn I honestly want to say Gods Son because there are so many incredible Nas songs on there but the ENERGY you get from Stillmatic is explosive. Listening to that album is like hearing a rapper harness lighting. Nas was probably the most dangerous MC in the mainstream that period.

an underrated period of Nas career although Lost Tapes are older tracks

Being honest I gotta vote for Stillmatic as far as what I listened to most in that era. Argument can be made for all three far as quality and they all got a different vibe and kind of enhance each other.

But All three are must listens and I think people are beginning to appreciate God's Son more.

Flawless masterpiece.
