I still remember the first time I heard this song. I instantly :unclecharlesyall:. There is literally nothing I can fault with the original. It's a perfect song and i've never met a person in my life that didn't like it. Nas spit jewels throughout and made a lot people feel like some bum ass niccas in the process cos it hit too close to home :jaylmao: second 9th remix was better than the first but they were both pretty great. Hardly see any songs with this type of 'energy' being made now...even by the gawd Nas himself. :salute:

man.... I remember getting Stillmatic, and hearing "2nd Childhood" for the first time. I was like: 'the fukk is this bullshyt beat!?'

I didn't think the beat was wack. It was just disappointing. Given how crazy I was about "Nas Is Like" a few years earlier. With all the hype, I was expecting something like it or another Premo banger (Premo was still in his 'every-beat-I-do-is-a-banger" run)

But a little while after, I really started listening to the song and it floored me. I was like: "holy shyt! This is HEAT!"

Beat has that lazy, drifting off-kilter feel to it. Like a nostalgic, drunk Premo
