I hear what you are saying but I think on this occasion it kind of rings off nicely. 'Lipmattic' same font as Illmatic style too.
That Illmatic LP Cover is often remade into illustrations and T-Shirts like David Bowie, Led Zeppellin, Kiss. All those nostalgia like stuff.
It's likely he will be eating off that unique presentation for a bit, I hear you a 100% you do not want it to lose value or become a novelty.
