Came out of nowhere and hit hard.

It was like best of both worlds

- a child molester and zoo animal

1) Of course cause it was Damian's production and everything with Nas but Esco did his thing

2) as decent as it was, Salaam Remi would have showed out on it had he gotten a chance to work on it. He knows Nas and he's done Hip Hop meets Reggae

3) the Live was show was fukking dope! Seen them twice amazing!

I have no problem with saying Damien Marley was the star of this album. But it was skewered in his favor with this being a reggae album and doing the production. Nas still came correct though.

But, Nas did delivered on the rapping

It's hogwash that a beautiful introspective fly album like that got no accolades.

I was sleeping on it heavy when it dropped but it's grown on me more and more. Had in heavy rotation last month, definitely one of the best albums released in the 10s or whatever we wanna call it.

Some people just wont get it tho...when that album came out i was so excited...my girl at the time who would do anything for me did not get that album...she was a snobby black girl from charlotte who didnt really have the. Sense of social climate and was more concerned about basketball wives and dumb mundane sh1t like that...this album will let you know the type of person your dealing with....

I've been playin nas's catalogue all week. That distant relatives is a great album. Besides 2 albums Nas has very impressive discography. And ofcourse Damien went in he produced it smh.
