Nas IS Mass Appeal. There’s no way he’s intentionally “sabotaging” an album release lets be real here.

The verse is dope but obviously neither Nas nor Raekwon wanted controversy and to sell the album, they wanted it to move on its own merit.

It does seem like the rest of the promo was more focused overseas in the UK than in the US but that was obviously a strategic move. They promoted the album as a visual album and did a full film festival circuit tour. He’s been on the cover of magazines




Mass Appeal did the damn thing for The Ruler.


With Raekwon, he and the Wu are literally on tour right now. I don’t know why Rae decided to drop right now while on tour but that tour is supposed to go well into the next year so it was either wait two more years to drop or put it out now and promote while on tour, maybe everybody figured that was the best bet.
