It does seem like the rest of the promo was more focused overseas in the UK than in the US but that was obviously a strategic move. They promoted the album as a visual album and did a full film festival circuit tour. He’s been on the cover of magazines

I don’t know why Rae decided to drop right now while on tour but that tour is supposed to go well into the next year so it was either wait two more years to drop or put it out now and promote while on tour, maybe everybody figured that was the best bet.
