at the Atlanta Haws arena.. 17,000 black folks :banderas:

I went for Nas, he killed it as usual, but Erykah Badu surprised the shyt outta me, she's incredible :mindblown:

but dope to see two legendary black artists selling out NBA arenas with no albums, no "hit songs" on the radio etc.

Don’t tell me this was a one-off, there’s a National tour right ? :to:

Sounds so much better than the lauryn hill/Nas show I had tickets to but ended up selling after Nas pulled out of the date

She's a way better performer than Lauryn Hill... she also performed on time...:yeshrug:

I can confirm both Nas and Erykah were incredible.

This was my fourth time seeing Nas, as I said in the NAS thread it was a bit different than past experiences because when i saw him previously HE was the headliner (once during the HHID tour. Once during the Life Is Good tour, and once during the Illmatic 20th anniversary) so instead of focusing on illmatic, he ran through alot of his other hits. He even did You Owe Me, which was the first time I ever saw him acknowledge that song live lol (for the record it got one of the biggest responses of the show. Females went WILD for that joint) I was also surprised at how hype the crowd got for I Can. I know its Nas’s most successful single maninstream wise but people REALLY love that joint.

He did all the classic Nas joints plus some guest verses, three cuts from Nasir, and closed out with One Mic and Stay. I think he really likes performing Stay. He put alot of extra emotion into it.

It was my first time seeing Erykah Badu perform and though she was a bit late (the crew had to setup her stage i think) she actually killed it. She’s a TREMENDOUS performer. She’s the type of performer who will make you go check for songs and albums that you haven’t heard of hers. Lots of charisma and her vocals are on point.

Overall an excellent show put on by two legends
