Sheed was an integral part of a championship team.

So was Meth lol

But like you would restrict yourself from mentioning Sheed amongst the greatest power forwards in the league because people felt he underachieved from a stat and individual basis, whereas with Nas he still remains in most people's conversations about the best rappers ever even if Illmatic was never matched. So I dont really think hes that sort of disappointment.

Lets keep it real; every rapper that has put out as many albums as Nas has some duds. Jay, Scarface, Ghost, Common. All of them have some weak albums compared to their classics

Outside of NAStradamus and maybe Street's Disciple Nas doesn't have any duds.

Nas has the strongest resume of ANY artist in ANY genre to have released that much music. :ahh:

the problem with Nas is that he doesnt know how to put an album together. He puts wack tracks on when he has a few classics sitting in the vault...

Meth has less wack albums than Nas and had a group to participate in. All in all, I'm moved by more Meth work, be it alone or with the Clan, than Nas.

I like Meth too. How could anyone not if you grew up and saw his prime? Having seen him live both with the Wu and Red, hes an amazing live performer and charismatic to boot, so how could he have not reached his max? But evidently people feel like thats what happened

But to say Meth has less wack albums you have also have to consider he's made less albums period compared to Nas and then even with the Wu thats comparing an individual to a larger group
On a sidenote related to that, I know you're old enough to remember how the group albums were scrutinzed for the Wu. 36 Chambers was a classic and so is Forever but lets not forget how some people didn't get Forever and saw it as the end to their prime reign. Much like IWW it was an album that people appreciated as time went on. Compound that with the fact that people were divided and slept on the W and Iron Flag and suddenly even the Wu's main gem catalogue has been picked apart like Nas was. I'd say Ghostface is probably the one with the most healthy, steady consistent catalogue in there.

Nas has Illmatic. That's it. Bits and pieces of his next few LPs. I believe Stillmatic is horrifyingly overrated.
