Lets keep it real; every rapper that has put out as many albums as Nas has some duds. Jay, Scarface, Ghost, Common. All of them have some weak albums compared to their classics

But like you would restrict yourself from mentioning Sheed amongst the greatest power forwards in the league because people felt he underachieved from a stat and individual basis, whereas with Nas he still remains in most people's conversations about the best rappers ever even if Illmatic was never matched. So I dont really think hes that sort of disappointment.
Meth has less wack albums than Nas and had a group to participate in. All in all, I'm moved by more Meth work, be it alone or with the Clan, than Nas.
