The whole "the intro to 'Nas Is Coming being gay" or horrible has always been exaggerated. Never seen any complaints about it until maybe 2006 and it snowballed into what it is now. The song itself was hated, but nobody was going off on the intro.

Its two dudes talking and people have made a whole other situation out of it.
