If Nas doesn't sue for libel we can assume that he has used ghostwriters...
That doesnt make sense.
Suing someone for defamation is nowhere NEAR an admission of guilt. In fact, the very nature of a defamation suit is the exact opposite of that position. Suing them is an attempt legally to clear your name by seeking relief for damages done to your reputation, etc.
That said
..I dont think he has a claim for defamation of character because he doesnt meet the burden test for the four essential elements of a defamation suit:
1) The accuser must prove that someone has made a false statement about them.
2) The statement must be made publicly and not involve a private conversation.
3) The statement must be negligent on the part of the person making it; and
4) The person who is making the accusation MUST prove they have sustained damages as a result of the negligent, false and public statements.
In this instance, the first three elements are met and the fourth isnt. I can see if he lost an endorsement deal or something else happened where his professional reputation was impugned or questioned or otherwise burdened because of what she said
.but that aint happened. In FACT, most people with common sense who Ive seen have actually seen through this charade for what it truly is and dont even remotely believe its true.
