One of Hip Hop’s greatest MCs, Nas expands his business ventures and sets out to open up a high-end sneaker boutique in Las Vegas. The New York native recently tweeted a picture of himself and several builders at the site of his store for his millions of followers with the caption, “On the construction site for my sneaker store in Vegas!! Comin this year y’all #SneakerFiends.”
The boutique will introduce the rapper into a whole different world as it will be his first time venturing into the fashion industry. The rapper is not usually counted amongst Hip Hop’s financial ‘elite’ – i.e. the likes of Jay Z, P Diddy and 50 Cent – but his recent turn in business acumen could change that. The smart choice to open up the store could be a great source of capital as sneakers are everybodys favourite thing.
There are no details as to when the store will open or its exact location yet but we do know that it’s called Sneaker Fiends and it will be open this year. The Life Is Good rapper also recently invested in a six-figure deal for the relaunch of Mass Appeal, a reputable Hip-Hop magazine founded in 1996.
