I know mane...im a lame for that...
considering NAS has always been my favorite rapper...ILLMATIC was the bible to me
I remember doing everything in my power to see him on the STILLMATIC tour in ATL..
but I think when this album came out in like 08 that's when NAS was signed to DEF JAM working under JAY-Z and LA REID
and I wasn't feeling that transition...
I was that NASTY NAS fan that was yearning for that NAS PREMO collabo lp that he never gave us...
ole boy didn't seem the same to me...artistically
also around this time in like 08 I was deep into Southern Culture, listening to Jeezy and the pionerring trap movement with T.I and others...
as well as promoting records and being a father too..........I really wasn't up to listening to the metaphors of life as giving by NAS as I did back in the day as a young "five percenter" with his hat turned back, reminiscing about all my friends who sold crack...
now I was living my life more practical......but now that im more stable and older i'll take a listen
