Anybody that has went thru both catalogs can see that Rino is the clear superior here...breh a few posts above is a nas fan and humbly admitted that K-Rino is the superior MC... da gawd @The Ruler 09 has went thru nas entire discog as well i believe and fukks with the dude heavy and still rates Rino as the superior MC...any suggestion that nas is anywhere in the same stratosphere as K-Rino is rooted in pure ignance, because there's no argument for such a ridiculous claim...and is a result of not having a complete picture of both men's work.

Or maybe we care about vocals, music, and flow. Songs like grand deception have depth but duke is unlistenable.

If IR champions nas over another mc that's saying something.

So Nas's monotone, bland vocal delivery & flow is better than Rino's:stopitslime:

FOH

Rino has a better rap voice, flow & delivery...one of the coldest cadences ever in his prime.

And is technically levels above Nas in every category...

If vocals, music & flow is important to you...nas must be quite unlistenable to you as well :ld:

Lol at k Rino having a good rap voice. Nas when on point is one of the goat vocalists.

I was going to leave this and let it sink as it's a troll thread but been bumped again so might as well say my piece.

Anybody who hasn't heard the full discography (which is most people on here) of both should be disqualified from the discussion. People make ridiculous statements that are nonsensical out of pure ignorance. As you said I am a fan of both and importantly have heard every single album from both and most of their other work too.

When people say the dumb shyt it just highlights what stans they are, how you gonna say Braveheart Party >>>> K-Rino's discography when you haven't heard K-Rino's discgraphy? Therefore you are trolling or ignorant, probably both.

Regardless of what anybody says I think very highly of Nas, I think he's an all time great artist across all genres. I would never take away anything from Nas, but K-Rino I believe is an all time great artist across all genres too and overall better. That's not to shyt on either but it's merely an honest assessment based of the MUSIC. Not stanning or any bullshyt, just the music and skills displayed.

I've told the story before but I had Nas above K-Rino for a long time and to this day Nas remains in my top 4, K-Rino is in my top 3. It got to a point as K-Rino began to release more HIGH quality work I couldn't put Nas over K-Rino anymore, despite being a childhood favourite because K-Rino was THAT good, consistently bringing high quality work. He has more material than Nas and is of a high quality too.

I have no issue with somebody preferring Nas or even thinking Nas is better but the hyperbole is ridiculous.

K-Rino has more conceptual work most probably, I'd say he's a better lyricist, overall a better storyteller, a better MC overall as he can switch styles more fluidly and does so more often. Both high in content, K-Rino probably goes that bit further, multies K-Rino, battling K-Rino, flavour K-Rino, I think K-Rino takes an awful lot of statistical categories that are less subjectively based.

As unpopular as this may be with some K-Rino fans I think Nas takes the early career, while K-Rino had some excellent albums during that period such as Danger Zone, but overall Nas gets that to me. But from around 2008 and possibly before that K-Rino went on 1 hell of a run...

And that run overall put K-Rino over the edge to me. In terms of an MC/lyricist I think K-Rino is quite some way better, as an artist yes too I would say he is. I think to say they aren't in the same stratosphere would be harsh on Nas, as they are both top elite level artists but if you ask me who's better the answer is K-Rino.

Everybody is allowed to have their own personal opinion and that is fine, likewise I can have mine. The initial question was flow, discography, wordplay in all those categories I would give it to K-Rino.

Random points...

Nomad is a fool, this was a troll thread made to shyt on K-Rino so to say the OP is an alias or anything like that is ridiculous.

The ignorance that some say in this thread or on here in general is astounding, I don't pay attention or give any significance to most of the bullshyt people say cause it's just stans without any knowledge whatsoever, it's like trying to tell me how film number 1 is so much better than film number 2 when you haven't seen film number 2 but saw a 5 min trailer if that of it lol. I don't have time for that stupidness.

1 day I would actually like to make a GENUINE thread on the topic to actually discuss this question, with some substantive breakdown and that's where discussion and engagement in the issue may interest me if some can bring it on that level.

Vocals music or flow? Vocals K-Rino, music is very subjective as people like different shyt, I couldn't tell you who's beats I like more cause I'm judging the songs overall, both have beats that are dope and beats that aren't as dope. If you don't respect K-Rino as a high calibre MC/artist I would seriously question someone's knowledge of Hip Hop. To prefer Nas and think he's better? Fine. All the other bullshyt? Ridiculous.

Let me paste a true knowledgable Hip Hop legend's opinion....

djpremierThe Legend K-Rino...I've been wantin' to meet this man for many years and he came to see PRhyme perform last night. He is a true Houston, Texas MC with skills...He still releases albums every few months and his wordplay is serious. Ask Scarface, Bun B and any other legends about him. He's the truth. He is also featured on the upcoming NYGz LP and we only met by phone and emails. This is a bucket list moment right cheaa... @prhyme_official@royceda59@trillog@brothermob#courtesy#datsoundgood#PRhymeTour#premierwuzhere 21h

Seen that already, that's stupid, unsurprisingly from a stupid person, cause Premo introduced a song that means what? Lol. You motherfukkers are so childish lol. He didn't say that dude was a legend with serious wordplay like he did regarding K-Rino, didn't put his song in his top 20 of a year, nor say it's on his bucket list to meet him or that he would love to do an album with him.

:dead: @ nas being a vocalist :heh:

He has no sort of vocal harmonic musical talent whatsoever...just has an average rap nikka voice.

Rino actually had the ability to harmonize and has far superior inflection, cadence & tonality...and his vocalism had far wider range than nas's dead ass montone delivery

@ 3:10

Laughable that this is even a discussion :heh:

K-Rino is superior on all fronts...by an uncalculatable distance

The fact that you thought 3:10 of that video was an example of good vocals explains a lot. Sun has a bad voice and bad production. Nas has songs like watch dem, take it in blood, one plus one, purple, etc with perfect vocals.

The only thing he has on nas is vocab, which he'll usually use to make songs like book number 7.

None of those songs demostrate better vocal tonality, delivery & cadence than any of the tracks i posted and you know it...like i said before *mayweather voice nas has no sort of vocal harmonic musical talent whatsoever as K-Rino does...just a average everyday rap nikka voice.

And outside of nas's 1st two albums...his beats are generally :trash: and actaully alot worse than K-Rino's.

The only thing he has on nas is vocab,

And

metaphors
similies
wordplay
entendres
multies
punchlines
storytelling
concepts
delivery
flow
lyrical creativity
vocal tonality
song making
album making
etc.
etc.
etc.

All those songs have better vocals then any k-rino songs. K Rino and vocal tonality don't belong in the same sentence.

His multies are more complex, but forced, not a natural like Ra, g-rap, az, which makes of pointless.

Metaphors? What metaphors?

Album and song making? Lmao

Concepts? Evil mirror twin concepts? Egg with in an egg with in an egg with in an egg imagination concepts where the ending makes it pointless? Telling 2 stories at the same time but not having them correlate at all? A lot of half baked ideas.
