Everybody dies and comes back as another person on Earth to serve a judgement whether good or bad. Sometimes, these judgement are done on whole nations for a period of time. An example, is the entire nation of Israel was pushed out of their land until the time that the Son of Man comes back. That was the judgement for worshiping the gods of the other nations. So even if an Israelite was following the Most High in his past life, he will still suffer the consequences of the rest of the nation that fell off. The descendants of Ancient Egypt were judged because of their treatment of the children of Israel.
