because people are the most important thing. a lot of them are hungry, homeless and uneducated.

I agree, but why couldn't we achieve multiple goals at once? People have different professions and parts to play in society, I feel that you are putting up a false choice.

because you are using the peoples' money to do it. the people need that money. once we have universal healthcare, every mouth fed and everyone in a home then we can consider using tax dollars to to go outer space. until then it is something that only private sector funds should be used for.

Oh snap!We movin to mars! :takedat:

The world of men....

All jokes aside, all this global warming here would be much more useful on Mars. All these oil companies and coal factories need to relocate to Mars to warm the planet and unlock that water. But even with terra forming Mars is fukked, one of its asteroid moons is eventually gonna crash onto the planet, plus Mars is pretty small and may not have the gravity to hold the type of atmosphere the Earth does. :ld:

:wtf:

Nasa's budget is ~15 Billion. That total historical budget for NASA is around the $900 Billion. The government gave that to he private sector in a matter of 1 year a couple of years ago.

Then we should defund weapons manufacturing and prisons/law enforcement before NASA. Universal healthcare can be had without defunding NASA. I dunno, I think you're just against science needlessly cuz you feel it offers no tangible results here on Earth. There are way worse things taking up our budget than NASA, and even then the space industry is becoming increasingly private. Imagine if some private company found a new energy source on the Moon or Mars that would make fossil fuels obsolete and provide clean energy(They already found H2 on the Moon but don't know how to use it) would that then be considered money not spent well? Humans on a whole need to realize that eventually we'll outgrow the Earth or simply die off on it by overpopulation, scarce resources, etc.

So now what. Some poor losers will spend the rest of their lives sending water back to earth to sell for insane prices.

*intergalactic water* - 10.99 for 12 ounces. :rudy:
