The NCAA recognizes Auburn as National Champions in 2010, 1993, 1983, 1957 and 1913. The Tigers have won 12 conference championships and 22 bowl titles in 38 appearances.

National Champions Foundation does recognize Auburn as 1 of the 4 National Champions in 1993. FSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame as the other 3 schools. Big difference!!

Once again it was a different year....would you have said Auburn would beat Alabama last year after their terrible season the year before and getting ran over by Bama the????? That's what's so crazy about college football....it depends too much on people's opinion for champion instead of truly playing out on the field. This new playoff only is a temporary band-aid.
