Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton will be pressed on national security issues during the first presidential debate next week, according to an announcement Monday.

NBC's Lester ****, who will moderate the Sept. 26 debate at New York's Hofstra University, has chosen "securing America" as one of three major topics for the debate, the Commission on Presidential Debates said.

The other two topics include "America's direction" and "achieving prosperity," the Commission on Presidential Debates said in its release, noting that the topics were subject to change based on news developments.

The debate in New York will come a week after authorities took custody of a man believed to be behind explosions in New York and New Jersey over the weekend, raising the issue of terrorism in the presidential race as the White House contenders exchange jabs over national security.

Trump's campaign on Monday argued "the only thing we can expect from a Hillary Clinton presidency is more attacks on our homeland and more innocent Americans being hurt and killed."

A campaign aide argued the decision to remove U.S. troops from Iraq in 2011 "created the vacuum that led to the founding of ISIS."

The retort came after Clinton argued that terrorists had invoked Trump's rhetoric in an attempt to turn the fight against the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) into a religious war.

“We know that a lot of rhetoric we’ve heard from Donald Trump has been seized on by terrorists, in particular ISIS, because they’re looking to make this into a war against Islam rather than a war against jihadists," Clinton said.

"Violent terrorists, people whose number in the tens of thousands, not tens of millions, they want to use that to recruit more fighters to turn this into a religious conflict,” she added.

The 90-minute debate next Monday will have six 15-minute segments, with two segments focusing on each topic, providing Trump and Clinton at least 30 minutes of debate time focused on national security.

It's the first of three scheduled debates between Trump and Clinton.

Black Employees at a Trump Casino Were Reportedly Removed Whenever the Donald Arrived

It was only recently that Republican presidential candidate and front-runner Donald Trump said he'd be willing to physically fight Black Lives Matter activists if they interrupted him on stage. Now, a new report from the New Yorker relays an alarming account of how black employees at one of Donald Trump's Atlantic City properties were routinely kept from view when the real estate magnate came to town. From writer Nick Paumgarten:

I met a bus driver named Kip Brown, who worked the Port Authority route, up and back each morning, for Academy Bus Lines. He had been at Academy for fifteen years and was No. 3 in seniority, out of seventy drivers in the region. As ridership has fallen, Academy has been cutting back on its schedule. The number of visitors arriving by bus is an eighth of what it was a quarter century ago. In the spring, Brown, just forty-seven, retired.

Now he was looking for work as a livery driver. Brown also used to work in the casinos, at the Showboat, bussing tables, and at Trump’s Castle, stripping and waxing floors. "When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor," he said. "It was the eighties, I was a teen-ager, but I remember it: they put us all in the back."

In any real political debate Hillary will crush him. The debates will have to be slanted to accommodate his lack of knowledge. Like how they did for Palin. I don't think even the most ardent Trump supporters believe he can come close in a real, substantive political debate. That heifer might be duplicitous but she clever as shyt.

They will throw him softball questions/follow ups and he will take over the debate by talking over her especially when she tries to point out his fallacies.

Please, she cannot improv, she is a trained robot, take out that ear piece and we'll see Hillary think on her feet which she has never shown to be able to do. He has all the ammo needed on security, no way she can win that one.

There was no ear piece, that was altright bs. Trump has no real ammo on security, Hillary has experience to learn from past mistakes, trump has NO EXPERIENCE AT ALL. That will be the counterpunch to his Bengasi email nonsense. I could dog a pro quarterback all day for throwing picks, but I won't be better at his job if I never een took a fukking snap.

OP, just make this the official debate thread, it's time to get the Pregame goin...
