This is what happens when the Finals feature an MVP caliber flopper (and scorer, but the flopping is generational and a real reason people are tuning out) and a great closer with a meh personality as the stars.. with largely unremarkable supporting casts.

Some solid basketball skills sure.. but that’s a given considering it’s the NBA…

I don't care this has been a fun series so far and I am enjoying the games. I don't even think this is a knock on Adam Silver. Most sports fans are casual fans that like the big names. Lakers, Knicks, Celtics etc. The other thing is Gen Z consume the games through digital/streaming etc.

They need to switch to "Days of Our Lives" or "Pop the balloon" where you are guaranteed to get exciting characters, dramatic storylines, no threes and big markets
