NBA AllStar Weekend should have a 1-on-1 tourney

Games to 11. 32-player bracket. Seeds determined by ppg. Spread the games out over Friday and Saturday. Finals at high-noon, Sunday.

Only problem is the NBA wouldn't want players to risk injury. And I think a lot of players are too worried about their image to participate in something like that. Plus a 32 player bracket would be too long. An 8 player or 16 player bracket would be sick though.

I think the purists would hate it.

But the youth and the streets would get behind it, talking about it all year.

We'd finally get to see Kobe in all his greatness.

Who knows, it might make him an even better player if he got to bust a nut on the league once a year.

but if these cats dont even want to do the dunk contest we might be left with nate robinson vs ty lawson or something

Until the mandate some of the actually ALL Stars to participate in these events. No matter how good the actually event is it will fail.

The Skills Challenge seems to be the only event that you can get the top players (point Guards) to do..

the idea sound good, but like they said it would be hard to get the real stars to participate, and even then it probly wouldnt turn out good knowin these stars today. every thing is half-assed until the actual all star game. the 1 on 1's probly wouldnt be intense enough for it to be taken seriously.
