NBA Considering Extending Season, Cutting Down On Back-To-Backs

Adam Silver better make sure this doesn’t take the season into July, or the plan may not involve Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich.

In a ploy to get the players more rest — while hyping the post season (Tournament once reseeding begins) — the NBA is reportedly considering extending next season by one-week.

Popovich, who already manipulates the current system, does not intend to coach games into July, no matter what decision is reached.

“I think the season is long enough,” Popovich told the San Antonio Express. “I will not come to work in July. If there’s a game in July, count me out.”

Contract the number of games overall. 82 games excessive.

To me the logical thing to do would be to start the season a couple weeks earlier instead of extending a couple weeks later. There's no need whatsoever for 8 preseason games.

That's never gonna happen.
I know but it sucks. Cannot make it earlier because football will swallow it whole. No homo. Sucks I had to write that.
