It can’t just be a exhibition game and players winning money

its has to mean something for the fans

homecourt or the least tie breaker for playoff seeding

i would love a play off spot

so say by miracle the Jazz won as the 14 seed.

the 7th vs 8th play to see who get the last spot

if a playoff team win it’s normal play in rules

Should be automatic home court advantage through the playoff is they make it and as long as they continue to advance. I don't think automatically giving them a playoff spot is wise.

It’s fine as is. Honestly, they found the solution and the next steps are obvious. It’s just a matter of if they want to spend the money.

Example: If making players play harder in the regular season is the goal (aka product improvement) and $500k cash prizes accomplishes that…

… well, duh, make that a monthly award to the team with the best W/L record each month. Same way they have player of the month recognition, it would be team of the month.

However, a 6-month season means (6 winners x 18 man roster x $500k each) = $54 million budget.

Their tv deal is worth billions, so it just depends on how badly they want the quality improvement. Whatever form it takes, the solution is clear and basic human nature: everyone works harder when more money is on the line.
