Greece needs a bailout. There’s one group that has just the money: NBA free agents.

Greece failed to make a $1.73 billion loan payment Tuesday to the International Monetary Fund, raising the stakes in a debt crisis that could lead to the country’s exit from the eurozone. Here’s an idea: Maybe the Greeks should ask the NBA’s free agents for a loan.

The opening of the NBA’s free-agency period on Tuesday set forth one of the most extraordinary displays of riches that professional sports has ever seen. NBA teams committed enough money to players—a staggering $1.5 billion worth of reported new deals as of Thursday afternoon—to help the birthplace of the Olympics remain solvent.

Or how about 7 of the nba owners pay and bail greece out
I feel like a whitr writer thought itd be cool nd cute to compare the smount of money these players are getting paid to the plight of greece but the truth is these players generate more money then they get paid. How about talking about the 20 billion the tv companies are paying fkr the nba as a product? Why tslk about the players? Why not talk about how there are baseball players on atleast 8 teams that have contracts worth a quarter billy?

This article is not suggesting that NBA players should use their money to bail out Greece. It actually has undertones of something far more sinister; that NBA players shouldn't have been paid this money in the first place, because there are more important things that should be done with the fund, like bailing out Greece.

I've been to Greece, and yes, that place is racist as fukk. But what troubles me more is an American publication light weight sending a secret message to NBA owners basically saying, don't pay these nikkas all that money.

This the exact reason that I celebrate any and every contract considered outlandish that a black man gets. White America absolutely hates that shyt with a passion. They can not stand to see a black man get paid like that, so they overtly complain, as well as covertly get their panties in a bunch with pointless ass passive aggressive articles such as this one.

In closing,Wall Street Journal :umad:

The Wall Street Journal should write an article about how the composite annual salaries of the top 100 golfers could help pay down the debts of various African countries.

Or how golf (a predominantly white activity) could help solve the American homeless problem.

Greeks aren't racist?

:coffee:

If you say so

Americans talking about racism in Greece...OK :francis:

Anyway it's the fact you guys think someone is actually seriously asking NBA players to bail out Greece. It's a goddamn comparison to show how crazy numbers have been circulating in the NBA, nothing more, nothing less.
They make these all the time:snoop:

It's not about asking NBA players to bail out Greece, necessarily.

But they don't mention wealthy white athletes or businessmen bailing out anybody.

Wall Street bonuses are at an all-time high.
Golf courses take up an enormous amount of land and use up obscene amounts of water to maintain. Nobody ever looks at those areas to solve other major problems.
