In Serbia it's 999 dinars which is around 9$.

I don't know the exchange rate/currency regime in Nigeria but during crises there's a phenomenon called flight to quality which means that people sell small currencies and buy big ones (like the usd, sfr, eur).
So those 50 bucks per season might've been 150 bucks per season pre-covid.
You can't just blindly look at what the price is in USD, you need to look at exchange rates too. Assuming Nigerians make their money in Naira and spend it in Naira, then what the price is in USD is completely irrelevant.
